
Pastor Dr. Derrick McDaniel

Rev. Dr. Derrick McDaniel is a native of Palestine, Arkansas, and currently serves as the Pastor of Holsey Sinai CME Church in Rome, Georgia. He is married to Mrs. Catasha Linwood McDaniel, and together they have been married for 31 years. They are the proud parents of three daughters and the joyful grandparents of five grandchildren.
Dr. McDaniel holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management from Henderson State University and a postgraduate degree in Organizational Leadership with an emphasis in Human Resources from Shorter University. He earned his Doctor of Education degree from Grand Canyon University in 2022, reflecting his deep commitment to leadership, learning, and service.
In addition to his pastoral ministry, Dr. McDaniel serves as the Director of Adult Education for the Adult Education Program at Georgia Northwestern Technical College in Rome, Georgia. Heis actively engaged in the community as a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, OneCommunity United, the CARE Team at GNTC, and the Rotary Club of Rome. He is also a graduate of Northwest Georgia LEAD, a leadership development program for professionals across the region.
Every day, Dr. McDaniel encourages both his students and his church members to pursue theirdreams, walk with passion, and strive to be the very best in what God has called them to do. Heis dedicated to growing as a Christian ministry leader and sharing that growth with his family,church, and community.
